Why ‘Just Make a List’ Is Terrible Advice (And What We’re Doing Instead)

We’ve all been there. It’s 2 AM, you’re in a mild state of panic about your life admin, so you

ask Google how to organise an ADHD brain. The internet, in its infinite wisdom, hands you a

listicle suggesting you ‘buy a nice diary’ and ‘set an alarm.’

Brilliant. Groundbreaking. Why didn't we think of that?

The reality is, standard productivity tips almost always fail us because neurodivergence isn’t

a monolith.

A time-blocking technique that works for a 22-year-old university student will be

spectacularly useless for a 45-year-old navigating career burnout and menopause.

You don’t need textbook theory - you need strategies that account for the chaotic context of

your actual daily routine.

That's why the Milton Keynes Neurodivergent Skills Workshops at The Old Bath House aren't structured like standard corporate seminars.

It is workshopping for real life, not a lecture.

We intentionally keep these groups small so everyone can ask questions without feeling

overwhelmed. So, if you are incredibly tired of generic advice that doesn't fit your brain, ask

the questions that matter to you.

The series kicks off on Wednesday, 9th September and runs until 18th November.

Our neurodivergent workshops are made possible by Milton Keynes Community Foundation. Thanks to its donors, we have been able to provide these free workshops for neurodivergent people in Milton Keynes.
